High quality decoder at a great price. Six different prime mover sounds. Very small size which makes installation much easier in older locomotives. Fast shipping and prompt customer service.

I bought 4 of these decoders with the 28mm speakers i put one in a Ho Bachmann SD40-2 Dcc ready I bought new for $49 and for 29 dollars i had a sound Locomotive! I am not a Rivet counter and not fussy, so was quite impressed with the sound for the price! I also Put 1 in a Gp40-2 and a Gp-38-2 Athearn Genesis and they sound Great! am buying More!

Thought I would try this decoder, since I had never heard of the company before and I’m new to dcc. The only issue I had was the 28mm speaker is much bigger than 28mm and would not fit in the location it needed to be. Luckil, they also sent a 13mm speaker with the decoder when I requested another 28mm. Although it works, it doesn’t have the same quality of sound. I’ll order some of the smaller speaker to try to improve the sound. Other than that, I will be ordering more.

i ordered this by mistake for a dcc ready atlas switcher. it was barely 4mm too tall to install so i had to remove the plug pins and replace them with wire. easy. i’ve ordered 4 more since i’m very happy with the sound and the locomotive control. remember they will sound bad until they are installed and closed in. the sound i get is comparable to digitrax and soundtrax at 1/2 the price. only ONE drawback. the front and rear lights are NOT independent. you can only choose a lighting function for BOTH. many will complain of the lack of ‘features’. turns out most of them are nonsense and a waste of time. the BLI sound card requires a 66 page manual. who needs that. i’m very satisfied with this machine.

I’ve bought a couple of these sound decoders, steam and diesel and am very pleased with them. One I got was for a 1970’s Rivarossi Y6b and it finally sounds great. Will be buying more from them. Thanks XL Systems.
